Details and procedures for groundwater sampling and the associated laboratory analyses
are presented in the SAP provided as Appendix B.
4.5 Investigation Derived Waste
Following receipt of laboratory analyses, investigation derived waste (IDW) soil and
water will be transported offsite to a California licensed Treatment, Storage, and Disposal
Facility(TSDF) for proper treatment and/or disposal.
4.6 Reporting
Following receipt of analytical results, a report documenting hand-auger/direct-push soil
sampling and well installation activities, and sampling results will be prepared. The
report will include: a summary of field activities, including the number and types of
samples, the methods used to collect and analyze the samples, and the name of the
laboratory used to perform the analyses; soil boring and well installation logs; a site
vicinity map; a scaled plot plan of the facility showing the location of soil samples
collected and monitoring wells installed, building locations, a north arrow, property lines,
and utility trenches; summary tables of laboratory results; soil and groundwater
contaminant concentration contours; laboratory reports and chain of custody (COC)
documentation; and waste disposal documents. Laboratory QA/QC data will also be
evaluated to assess the sample data quality. A statistical evaluation for shallow soils
samples (up to 10 feet bgs) utilizing the ProUCL Version 4.00.05 software to calculate
95% upper confidence limit (UCL) exposure point concentrations for reported
contaminants will be completed. Laboratory analytical results will be compared to
California Regional Water Quality Control Board — San Francisco Environmental
Screening Levels (ESLs) and California Human Health Screening Levels (CHHSLs), as
appropriate, and established site cleanup values.
In addition, the direct-push borings and newly installed monitoring wells will be added as
field points to the GeoTrackerTM database, and all information, including well
construction details, survey coordinates, and laboratory analytical results, will be
uploaded, as required.
4.7 Schedule
The proposed groundwater assessment work plan will be implemented as soon as possible
following receipt of RWQCB-CV and San Joaquin County Department of Environmental
Health approval.
Site Characterization Work Plan,Final, May I8,2012
1007-012.002 4-4
