1 <br /> 4 CONTROLS <br /> 41 Health and Safety Plan <br /> The plan presented in the October 17, 2000 work plan continues in effect but must be <br /> ' reviewed and updated prior to resumption of exploration activity at the Acampo site <br /> 42 Work Schedule <br /> Scheduling of characterization work has considered the following The source of <br /> additional contaminants has been removed Equipment and manpower resources are <br /> limited and may require upwards to 6 weeks advance notice and commitment Work will <br /> be performed by WO&S using subcontracted equipment and manpower under the <br /> direction of D K Barber P E and Associates Technical guidance and sampling will be <br /> carried out by a licensed civil engineer responsible to WO&S <br /> Following agency review, comments, and approval of additional work, the site layout, <br /> underground utility location, and well drilling permit application will commence <br /> immediately Barings and monitoring well construction tentative scheduling will consider a <br /> ' duration to be two to six weeks depending upon extent of borings, laboratory findings and <br /> weather A minimum of two weeks turnaround time for all state certified laboratory testing <br /> ' is anticipated unless quicker turnaround time would benefit the project, in which case, <br /> turnaround time may be shortened at greater cost Consideration will be given to the use <br /> of a portable laboratory at the site <br /> This Interim Phase II report was prepared by D K Barber P E & Associates for <br /> forwarding to the overseeing agency with information copy as required by WO&S to <br /> reflect work and findings between November 2000 and April 30, 2001 The report will be <br /> amended quarterly as monitoring well data is collected The target completion date of all <br /> sampling at the Acampo Plant Site is December 30, 2001 Completion date will be highly <br /> ' dependent upon weather delays and any further testing incurred with additional Phase II <br /> characterization <br /> ' 4-1 <br />
