Box 8303 COPY Y Stockton, CA 95208 (f Subject: Estimate for Preparation of Corrective Action Plan Gillies Trucking Yard 2931 Newton Road Stockton, CA Dear Ken: Upgradient Environmental is pleased to submit bid no. 97020 to prepare a Corrective Action Plan for addressing soil and groundwater contamination at your site. We will send a copy of this bid to the State Underground Tank Cleanup Fund, along with a copy of the January 31, 1997 letter from Steve Sasson directing you to prepare such a plan, and will request the Fund to pre-approve our estimate so that it will not be necessary for you to solicit competitive bids. We will not initiate any work until our estimate has been approved or you direct us to begin. Upgradient will consider several cleanup options, and the equipment,processes, and timing of each method will be discussed in the plan. We will request bids from potential subcontractors for portions of some of the options, and we will perform a comparative analysis of the various options to identify the most cost-effective approach. After this information has been collected and analyzed, Upgradient will prepare the written document to conform with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines for corrective action. We estimate the cost to perform these activities at approximately $3,000. The total cost is broken down on the attached estimate sheet.
