From
an initial discussion with the CVRWQCB, the EHD had thought that the VOC and SVOC data
was adequate to substitute for the missing soil analytical data from the former waste oil UST;
however, in subsequent conversations the CVRWQCB made clear their requirements include
analysis for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and for the metals lead, copper, nickel, chromium
and cadmium.
As your site is in an area of high groundwater usage, the EHD considers it best for all parties
involved to have the concurrence of the CVRWQCB with the closure of your case; therefore the
EHD apologizes for the inconvenience and requests that you resample the two wells and
analyze the samples only for the PCBs and the five metals.
If you have questions regarding the directive in this letter, please contact Nuel Henderson at
(209)468-3436 or by email at nhenderson0sicehd.com.
Sincerely,
p / , /
Nuel C.
