The CUF
noted that the EHD had approved an extended soil vapor extraction test and the CUF
recommended that the EHD direct the responsible party (RP) to conduct regular groundwater
monitoring.
Monitoring at the site has been nearly semiannual for some time, although the time periods
between events sometimes extends a bit beyond 6 months with no return to the previous
schedule and it appears that groundwater samples were not collected during one event. The
EHD will direct the RP to keep to the semiannual sampling schedule in our next letter to him.
Questions or comments should be directed to Harlin Knoll at (209) 468-3442 or to Nuel
Henderson at (209)468-3436.
Sincerely, /
Harlin Knoll, REHS Nuel Henderson, PG
Senior Registered Environmental Engineering Geologist
Health Specialist
2011 Five-Year Review Comment Letter 3931 Newton Rd 0811.doc
