UPGRRDIENI ENVIR 2097723620 P. 02 <br /> d <br /> CHRONOLOGY OF INVESTIGATION AT GILLIES TRUCKING <br /> 1973--Two underground storage tanks installed and site developed into trucking facility <br /> January 1989--Fuel tanks removed <br /> 1990--Site transferred from EHD unit III to unit IV;Diane Hinson,REHS lead regulator <br /> July 1990--Contaminated soil excavated to a depth of 35 feet; 1000-1200 cubic yards of <br /> soil stockpiled at west end of site and remediated using enhanced bioremediation <br /> methods <br /> November 1990--Richesin&Associates drills two borings adjacent to backfilled <br /> excavation; TB-I to 100 feet and completed as monitoring well;TB-2 drilled to 70 feet. <br /> Diesel, some gasoline encountered; concentrated between 45 and 60 feet <br /> Date?--Diane Hinson informs Gillies Trucking that no further action is necessary(Ken— <br /> do we have a written document on this?If so,please fax it to me) <br /> 1993--Michael Collins,REHS,assigned to replace Diane Hinson as lead regulator <br /> October 1993--EHD Technical Review Committee meets to discuss status of site <br /> November 1993--EHD requests work plan for two additional monitor wells and quarterly <br /> monitoring by January 1994 <br /> August 1994--Upgradient Environmental submits work plan to install two monitor wells <br /> September 1994--UEC drills 2 wells to 100 feet; soil contaminated in both from 35-60 <br /> feet; diesel detected in water at 80-930 parts per billion <br /> Late 1994--Steve Sasson,REHS, assigned to replace Michael Collins as lead regulator <br /> January 1995--Quarterly monitoring begins; TPH-d and TPH-g concentrations decline in <br /> GT-2 to 400 and 64 ppb and increase in GT-1 to 960 and 550 ppb;TPH-d detected in <br /> MW-I (GT-3) at 96 ppb. <br /> May 1995--EHD submits comment letter and requests work plan for at least 2 additional <br /> wells <br /> June 1995--Water table rises above screened interval in all monitor wells;no <br /> hydrocarbons detected <br /> August 1995--EHD submits comment letter and requests an interim remediation work <br /> plan to define and remediate the remaining soil contamination and install at least one <br /> upgradient and one downgradient monitoring well, screened at shallower depth <br />
