There must be at least one emergency coordinator on site or on call <br /> to coordinate emergency response measures, and the following information must be posted by a phone: the name <br /> and phone number of the emergency coordinator; location of fire extinguishers, spill control equipment, and if <br /> present, fire alarm; and the phone number of the fire department, unless the facility has a direct alarm. Immediately <br /> update your modified contingency plan and post the required information by a phone. Submit proof of correction to <br /> the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> �5 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated (not necessarily documented) that employees who handle <br /> hazardous waste were properly trained. Mr. Keating indicated that he typically provides the training, however he was <br /> not certain if the training was provided within the required time frame. The generator must ensure that all employees <br /> who handle hazardous waste are thoroughly familiar with proper waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> Immediately provide training to all employees who handle hazardous waste and submit a copy of the training <br /> records to the EHD. <br /> ?is is a Class II violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> Leaky metal Cutting equiprijent, musciiie oily staining around it, was noted inside the mechanic shop area.Also. <br /> pooling oil was noted on several transfer(mobile carts) also located in the mechanic shop area. Facilities shall b4 <br /> maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or <br /> surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately fix all leaky equipment and all <br /> oily staining , and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation explaining how this wgste was managed. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> Two (open and unlabeled) 5 gallon containers with oily water mixture were observed in ttie macnine poop area. Mr. <br /> Keating indicated that these containers should have been emptied into the hazardous waste storage container. All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close <br /> these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste.
