(KEI) at the referenced site during <br /> contaminated soil excavation and remediation. All work was <br /> performed in compliance with the guidelines established by the <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) , the San Joaquin <br /> Local Health District, and the San Joaquin Air Pollution Control <br /> District. <br /> The scope of the work performed by KEI consisted of the <br /> following: <br /> Coordination with regulatory agencies . <br /> Collection of samples of native soil from the pit <br /> during excavation. <br /> Collection of samples of stockpiled soil excavated from <br /> the pit. <br />' Delivery of samples with proper chain of custody to a <br /> certified analytical laboratory. <br /> Technical review of laboratory analyses and preparation <br /> of this report. <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND <br /> The subDect site was formerly used as a gasoline station and is <br /> now a vacant lot. Site vicinity and site descriptions are shown <br /> on the attached sketches. The site has been under investigation <br /> since mid-1985 when the station was closed a_nd_ two 10, 000 gallon <br /> fuel storage tanks and one waste oil tank were removed. <br /> Significant soil contamination was discovered after the tanks <br />
