' Remediation Plan <br /> Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-707 EAl Prolect No 1232 <br /> 2.4 Well Installation Report <br /> On April 6, 2001, EAI, on behalf of Unocal submitted to the RWQCB a report entitled "Well <br /> Installation Report (Well Report) (see EAI, 2001B) The Well Report provides information on <br /> the installation of four wells on the Unocal site and one well near the RIW Due to Wards <br /> bankruptcy filing, the well proposed in the CPT Report for the Ward site was not installed <br /> 25 Test Boring Results and RIW Status <br /> On October 18, 2000, EAI, on behalf of Unocal and Wards, submitted to the RWQCB a report <br />' entitled "Work Plan for Relocation of the Delta College Irrigation Well " On October 20, <br /> 2000, the RWQCB forwarded a letter approving the work plan <br /> On January 16, 2001, EAI submitted to the RWQCB a report entitled "Test Boring Results <br /> Robinhood Irrigation Well Replacement" (Well Replacement Report) (see EAI, 2001A) The <br /> Well Replacement Report provides information on test boring water quality (i e , general <br />' minerals and volatile organic compounds, including fuel oxygenates), sieve analysis, former <br /> and current UST sites and production wells within 2,500 feet of the test boring site, and <br /> proposed construction details for a new irrigation well <br /> On February 26, 2001, the RWQCB forwarded a letter approving the proposed new irrigation <br /> well location and design, and requested that the RIW be destroyed SECOR is currently <br /> completing an evaluation to determine if the new irrigation well can be located within 50 to 100 <br /> feet of the existing RIW without impacting the Unocal and Wards sites, including evaluating <br /> modifying the existing RIW for future use The results of the SECOR work should be available <br />' in mid July 2001 <br /> During March and April 2001, EAI worked with the RWQCB, UST Cleanup Fund and San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) regarding <br /> replacement of the RIW and destruction of the RIW On April 26, 2001, EAI submitted to <br /> PHS-EHD an amended work plan for destruction of the RIW (see EAI, 2001C) On April 27, <br /> 2001, PHS-EHD approved the amended work plan Destruction of the RIW has been placed on <br /> hold pending the results of the SECOR work described above <br />' 26 Quarterly Ground Water Monitoring <br /> Unocal and Wards have been conducting joint ground water monitoring events for the past <br /> several years The most recent quarterly ground water monitoring was condoted on May 30, <br /> 2001 (see Tables 2 and 3) <br /> Figure 2 is a site plan showing the locations of all wells associated with this project Table 1 <br /> and Figure 5 summarize well construction details in tabular and graphic form, respectively <br /> Table 2 summarizes ground water elevation data, and Table 3 ground water quality data <br /> 6S 1232P RAP ADD -3- <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT, INS' <br />
