• Ten acres of the project site would be devoted to the briquet-
ting facility, including the biomass unloading and storage
facilities, the biomass processing and drying facilities, and
the 12,800-square foot finished briquette/pellet storage
building.
Waste Oil Recovery System
• Design capacity of 600 gallons per hour of product (2,167,200
gallons per year) .
• Transportation would include collection of used lubricants from
area sources and transportation of sludge wastes from the recy-
cling process to an appropriate disposal site. It may also be
necessary to return nonrecyclable lubricants to the collection
source or to an authorized treatment, storage, and disposal
facility.
• One-half acre of the site would be devoted to resource recovery
facilities, which would include oil filtration and storage
tanks plus necessary equipment, all within a concrete bermed
area.
• A secondary containment area (pad) would serve as the oil truck
unloading dock.
Other Project Components
• Emissions control equipment would be provided to control air
pollutants from the combustion of oil for biomass drying and
from the handling and hauling of the biomass (largely fugitive
particulates) .
• Analytical laboratory facility would be provided with the
primary purpose of performing analysis of biomass briquettes,
incoming used oils, recycled oils, and intermediate production
materials.
2-8
I01-46.R4 4/7/89
