• -1 ._ 3e.... .. a
6. The Local Assessment Committee in it ' s Proposed
Conditions of Approval , Condition No. 47 , recommends
" A warning system shall be installed to alert
neighboring residents and farming personnel in the
event of an oil fire ". I would assume this warning
system would be used for the purpose of area evac -
uation. There are not sufficient Security Forces on
board, during any shift to evacuate the internees
from either institution, safely and securely.
The Local Assessment further recommends,in it' s
Proposed Conditions for Approval Nos. 39 through '47
certain things as being within the area of respons -
i-bility of the Collegeville Fire District.
The Collegeville Fire Station is not a manned
Facility. The Fire fighting force is composed of
approximately nine volunteers, who respond to fires
through individual paging systems. None of the
volunteer personnel have sufficient training or
experience to permit their approval of fire
protection plans or fire contingency plans.
We ask that careful consideration be given to these
and the many other problems that will arise if this
Application is' approved. ,
Respectfully
Doug and Lucille Edgin
11268 Mariposa Road
Storkto C? . 95205
cc; San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Air Pollution Control Division j
San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services
Fire Protection Bureau of San Joaquin County
San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors
i
