I. The facility will only be permitted to recycle used oil. Used <br /> oil is defined in Section 25250 of H&S Code as: <br /> 1. Any oil that has been refined from crude oil, and has been <br /> used, and, as a result of use, has been contaminated with <br /> physical or chemical impurities. <br /> 2. Any oil that has been refined from crude oil and, as a <br /> consequence of extended storage, spillage, or contaminationi <br /> with nonhazardous impurities such as dirt and water, is no <br /> longer useful to the original purchaser. <br /> 3. Spent lubricating fluids which have been removed from an <br /> engine crankcase, transmission, gearbox, or differential of <br /> an automobile, bus, truck, vessel, plane, heavy equipment, <br /> or machinery powered by an internal combustion engine. <br /> 4. Spent industrial oils, including compressor, turbine, and <br /> bearing oil, hydraulic oil, metal working oil, <br /> refrigeration oil, and railroad drainings. <br /> 5. Contaminated fuel oil with flashpoint greater than 100° <br /> Fahrenheit. <br /> J. The facility is, however, prohibited from handling or storing or <br /> recycling the following types of wastes: <br /> 1. Forbidden and Class A explosives as defined in <br /> Section 173.51 and 173.53, Title 49, Code of Federal <br /> Regulations. <br /> 0 <br /> 2. Used oil containing more than five ppm of polychlorinate <br /> biphenvls (PCBs) . <br /> 3. Used oil that has a flashpoint below 100° Fahrenheit. <br /> 4. Used o;l that contains more than 1,000 ppm of chlorides. <br /> 5. Used oil that has been intentionally mixed with other <br /> hazardous wastes, other than minimal amounts of vehicle <br /> fuel. <br /> R.
