P.N. 243-290-33 May 12 , 1992 Dear Mr. DuBois : The excavation plan submitted for the subject property has been reviewed as it relates to the operation and maintenance of District facilities within the proposed excavation area. There are typically several items of concern to the District when excavations of this nature take place near District facilities . In an effort to help address some of these concerns , it is requested that , as condition of approval , the applicant be required to submit the excavation plan, showing all District easements , to the South San Joaquin Irrigation District ' s Board of Directors for their approval and signature . Furthermore , in order to comply with certain requirements which have generally been considered acceptable standards with regard to excavations , it is requested that the following notes be added to the excavation plans prior to submittal : 1 . The landowner agrees not to perform any excavation or grading within the S . S . J. I .D. easement or within 15 feet of the centerline of the pipeline , whichever is greater. 2 . Excavations adjacent to District easements and/or facilities shall have a minimum 3 : 1 slope from the excavated field to the top of the berm. 3 . The landowner will take such steps as are required by the S . S .J. I . D. Water Superintendent to remedy any erosion on banks adjacent to the District ' s facilities . 4 . No soil will lie stockpiled over the S . S .-J . I .D. pipeline . 1
