P.N. 243-290-33 <br /> May 12 , 1992 <br /> Dear Mr. DuBois : <br /> The excavation plan submitted for the subject property has been <br /> reviewed as it relates to the operation and maintenance of <br /> District facilities within the proposed excavation area. <br /> There are typically several items of concern to the District when <br /> excavations of this nature take place near District facilities . <br /> In an effort to help address some of these concerns , it is <br /> requested that , as condition of approval , the applicant be <br /> required to submit the excavation plan, showing all District <br /> easements , to the South San Joaquin Irrigation District ' s Board <br /> of Directors for their approval and signature . <br /> Furthermore , in order to comply with certain requirements which <br /> have generally been considered acceptable standards with regard <br /> to excavations , it is requested that the following notes be added <br /> to the excavation plans prior to submittal : <br /> 1 . The landowner agrees not to perform any excavation or <br /> grading within the S . S . J. I .D. easement or within 15 <br /> feet of the centerline of the pipeline , whichever is <br /> greater. <br /> 2 . Excavations adjacent to District easements and/or <br /> facilities shall have a minimum 3 : 1 slope from the <br /> excavated field to the top of the berm. <br /> 3 . The landowner will take such steps as are required by <br /> the S . S .J. I . D. Water Superintendent to remedy any <br /> erosion on banks adjacent to the District ' s facilities . <br /> 4 . No soil will lie stockpiled over the S . S .-J . I .D. <br /> pipeline . <br /> 1 <br />
