Mr. Don O. Culbertson Proposal P95-060.56
June 29, 1995
Page 6
soil sample collected from each boring during completion of Task 2 will also be analyzed
for polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (PNAs) by EPA method 8310. The soil samples
chosen for analysis by EPA 8310 will be selected based on FID measurements and field
observations. If no PNAs are detected in the soil samples collected during Task 2, this
analysis will not be performed on the soil samples collected during completion of the
monitoring wells. Laboratory reports generated during analysis of the soil and
groundwater samples will include all chromatographs for EPA method 8015 modified and
quality assurance/quality control data (surrogate, matrix spike, and matrix spike duplicate
recoveries, and method blanks).
Task 5 Report Preparation
After completion of field activities and within five weeks after receipt of all chemical
analytical results, EMCON will prepare a site characterization report that describes field
activities performed at the site and data interpretation and assessments. This report will
include the following topics:
• a map showing the locations of all Geoprobe soil borings and monitoring wells
completed by EMCON
• a description of exploratory soil borings, soil and groundwater sampling, and
monitoring well installation, development, and sampling procedures
• a description of subsurface soil conditions including the extent of petroleum-
impacted soils identified by the Geoprobe and well installation programs
• geologic logs of exploratory soil borings
• well details for all wells installed by EMCON
• a description of regional and site hydrogeological conditions, including a
groundwater elevation contour map constructed from groundwater depths
measured in the newly constructed wells
• certified analytical reports and chain-of-custody sheets form all soil and
groundwater sampling conducted by EMCON,
FRE/H:\wp\proWs&"506056.wp5-95 gtf:l
