The purge water was
generated during sampling conducted through April 15, 1997. During the weekend of April 24,
1997,the drum was knocked over by individuals unknown to Chevron Pipe Line Company. The
Tracy Fire Department and your office were called, and the issue was resolved since the water
was non-hazardous based on chemical analyses conducted. The drum was righted by the Tracy
Fire Department and removed from the site on April 29, 1997.
Per your request, this fax transmits the Bill of Lading for the subject drum. The drum was
transported to Chevron's Los Medanos pump station facility in Pittsburg, California and injected
into Chevron's pipeline to the Richmond, California refinery.
Please contact me at(510) 842-6718 with any questions or concerns.
Thanks-
Dan Lappo
4
Attachment: Bill of Lading(4/29/97)
cc: Joel Weiss, CVRWQCB FAX (916)255-3015
Mike Garrett, CPL Los Medanos CTN FAX 753-2030
Q\My Docum=U\Faxes\infuma.doc
Printed-4:05 PM
