INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr.Russell Chapin,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE),has prepared this
ground water aquifer pumping test report conducted at 1766 Monte Diablo Avenue, Stockton,
California. The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1. Site structures and monitoring well locations
are depicted on Figure 2.
The objective of the work was to obtain general ground water aquifer characteristics and to evaluate
aquifer response to ground water extraction at variable and constant pumping rates. This report is
prepared in accordance with guidelines established bythe California Regional Water Quality Control
Board- Central Valley Division for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites.
Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site are included in the
Problem Assessment Report (.PAR) prepared by Science 8r. Engineering Analysis Corporation
(SEACOR) dated 22 July 1994 and in numerous AGE-prepared Quarterly Reports.
2.0. GROUND WATER AQUIFER PUMPING TEST
On OG March 2001, three temporary ground water elevation wells (one-inch) were installed
surrounding well VE-6.
On 07 March 2001, an eight-hour ground water aquifer pumping test was performed at the site to
assess the general ground.water aquifer characteristics and to assess aquifer response to groundwater
extraction utilizing wells VW-6, temporary wells T1, T2 and T3 and well MW-3 at a variable
pumping rate; purged ground water was containerized in an on-site (5,500-gallon poly tank (Baker
tank). On 12 and 29 March 2001., separate twelve-hour pump tests were performed; the first (12
March)pumping from VE-6 at 3 gallons per minute, the second(29:March)pumping froze MW-4
at 1 gallon per minute for 2 hours, then at 2 gallons per minute for 10 hours.
A four-inch diameter Grundfos submersible pump was utilized to evacuate water from the pumping
wells for the 07 March and 12 March tests, a two-inch diameter Grundfos submersible pump was
used to evacuate water from the pumping well .for the 29 March aquifer test. The pumping rate for
each test was determined by measuring the time required to fill a 5-gallon bucket from the pumping
discharge hose.
Adpanted GeoEnv[ronmental,Inc
