(AGE) has prepared the <br /> enclosed Work Plan for the abandonment of one ground water monitoring well at 1766 Monte <br /> Diablo Avenue, Stockton, California (the site). The location of the site and its surroundings are <br /> illustrated in Figure 1. Structures, well locations and proposed boring locations are illustrated in <br /> Figure 2. <br /> INTRODUCTIONBACKGROUND <br /> One 2-inch diameter ground water monitoring well was installed as part of a subsurface investigation <br /> of the former underground storage tank (UST) area east of the site. In accordance with the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Service- Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) requirements, <br /> the well must be properly abandoned to obtain final site closure. <br /> PROCEDURES <br /> The well will be sounded to determine the total depth of the well. The well will pressure grouted <br /> from the surface with portland cement grout. The will be pressurized to insure the best possible fill <br /> of the filter pack material with the filling material.
