� r <br /> f <br /> 4. Duplicate Groundwater Samples <br /> Duplicate groundwater samples will be collected and analyzed <br /> to track the consistency in field sampling techniques. The <br /> duplicate samples will be collected immediately after the <br /> primary sample at the same location, using the same sampling <br /> equipment and procedures. In accordance with the District's <br /> Sampling Plan, duplicates will be taken for 10-W of the <br /> groundwater samples obtained. <br /> 5. Chain-of-Custody Record <br /> s <br /> A chain-of-custody record for each container or sample will <br /> be used to track possession of the samples from the time they <br /> F were collected in the field until the time they are analyzed <br /> in the laboratory. <br /> The chain-of-custody record will contain the following <br /> information: <br /> i 1. Site Name <br /> = 2. Signature of collector <br /> 3. Date and time of collection <br /> 4. Sample identification number(s) <br /> 5. Number of containers in sample set <br /> ' 6. Description of sample and container(s) <br /> 7. Name and signature of persons, and the companies or <br /> agencies they represent, who are involved in the <br /> chain of possession <br /> B. Inclusive dates and times of possession <br /> 9. Requested analysis for each sample <br /> � t <br /> 6. Equipment Cleaning <br /> Sample bottles and bottle caps will be cleaned by the <br /> analytical laboratory subcontractor using standard EPA- <br /> approved protocols. Sample bottles and bottle caps will be <br /> protected from solvent contact, dust or other contamination <br /> between time of receipt and time of actual usage at the <br /> sampling site. <br /> Sampling equipment that will be re-used shall be cleaned <br /> after sampling of each well has been completed. <br /> Thermometers, pH electrodes, and conductivity probes that are <br /> -- used repeatedly shall also be cleaned after sampling of each <br /> well. <br /> 7. Cleaning procedures shall be accomplished as follows: <br /> A. Scrub with a detergent-potable water. solution or other <br /> solutions deemed appropriate using a hard bristle brush. <br /> r� <br />
