k%j K If IN F E L D E R <br /> Two soil samples from each Geoprobe location will be submitted for analysis <br /> Once groundwater is encountered, the Geoprobe will be advanced two to four feet One <br /> groundwater sample from each Geoprobe location will be collected by use of the Hydropunch <br /> method Groundwater samples will be obtained by using a decontaminated stainless steel or <br /> Teflon bailer depending upon field conditions If turbid groundwater conditions are encountered, <br /> a disposable screened PVC casing or decontaminated stainless steel wrapped casing screen may <br /> be placed within the Geoprobe holes to filter out sediment, as necessary The soil and <br /> groundwater samples are then labeled, and placed In an iced cooler pending transportation to the <br /> analytical laboratory under chain of custody protocols <br /> Upon completion of the soil and groundwater sampling the Geoprobe borings will be grouted the <br /> same day in accordance with PHS/EHD requirements <br /> Task 3 -- Laboratory Analysis <br /> Each of the soil and groundwater samples selected for quantitative analysis will be submitted <br /> under chain-of-custody control to a laboratory certified by the State of California for the <br /> requested analyses <br /> A total of twenty-two (22) soil samples and eleven (11) groundwater samples will be analyzed <br /> for <br /> ■ TPH-Diesel by EPA Method 8015M <br /> ■ TPH-Gasoline by EPA Method 8015M <br /> ■ BTEX by EPA Method 8020 <br /> ■ MTBE by EPA Method 8020 <br /> The samples will be analyzed on a normal laboratory turnaround time requiring approximately <br /> 10 to 15 working days for completion Laboratory turnaround time can be expedited for <br /> additional fees <br /> Task 4 -- Prepare Report of Findings <br /> Upon completion of soil and groundwater sampling, and receipt and review of analytical results, <br /> a report will be prepared for client review The report will include <br /> ■ A description of field activities, observations, and protocols, <br /> ■ L1thoIogic logs, <br /> ■ Results of the sample analysis with copies of certified analytical laboratory results with <br /> chain-of-custody documentation, <br /> 20-YPO-307/2000P358120000508 Page A-3 <br /> Copyright 2000 Kleinfelder Inc October 6 20000 <br />
