Such buried piping installations is either cathodically protectedor otherwise <br />satisfies the corrosion protection standards for piping in 40 CFR part 280 of this chapter or a State <br />program approved under 40 CFR part 281 (such as California HSC Chapter 6.7 and 23 CCR <br />requirements for underground storage tank systems).[§§112.8(d)(1) and 112.12(d)(1)] <br />If a section of buried line is exposed for any reason, the facility will carefully inspect it for deterioration.
