FUNCTION (DEPARTMENT ROLE): <br />Date Last Evaluated: <br />Incumbent: <br />r fir. <br />SEP 15 2015 <br />Supervisor: Maintenance Operations <br />Manager j � IRONMENTAL <br />The role of the SM is to provide the following at each Ryder shop: <br />• Training, Development and performance Management of maintenance personnel <br />within assigned branch or branches <br />• Work Analysis, Planning and Assignment, and Management of the Preventative <br />Maintenance Process <br />• Inventory Management <br />• Safety and EPA Compliance <br />• Customer/Driver interaction and service <br />• Facilities maintenance including all shop tools and equipment <br />• Review, analyze and trend maintenance measures. Create action plans for <br />continuous improvement. <br />• Ensure Shop Management System (SMS) is maintained. <br />• Ensure maintenance of all files required to meet and/or exceed local, state, and <br />federal requirements. <br />• Quality assurance of work performed/deliverabies. <br />• Financial forecasting and cost control related to maintenance. <br />2. PURPOSE (END RESULTS): <br />• To successfully manage daily maintenance operations at each Ryder location by <br />balancing fiscal/business requirements with employee relations, environmental/safety <br />compliance and customer satisfaction. <br />3. FINANCIAL IMPACT (DOLLAR AMOUNT THAT BEST MEASURES POSITION'S <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT ON COMPANY): <br />• Maintenance spending at Ryder is proportionate to revenue. The SM is directly <br />responsible for maintenance spending related to direct maintenance cost and <br />overheads including facility maintenance/expenditures. He/she controls the day-to- <br />day costs incurred by labor, parts, tires, outside repairs, and controllable maintenance <br />overheads. Responsible for resolving customer maintenance issues. <br />4. QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE) <br />• High school degree or its equivalent required; post secondary vocational education <br />strongly preferred. Minimum of five years experience in a maintenance environment <br />with corresponding certification/qualification. Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory <br />experience preferred. Must have demonstrated customer service focus, work flow <br />analysis and management skills. <br />
