He washes the windows with a spray bottle and rag, wipes dust off the dashboard, and cleans the floorboards. He also uses a degreaser from a squeeze bottle to clean the steps into the truck. A deodorizer from a spray bottle is sprayed into the truck. Physical Requirements: Reaching- Overhead to clean truck Walking- Around truck Carrying- Trigger gun, squeeze bottle, rag Pushing- Wall button Pulling- Hose around truck Bending- While cleaning inside of truck Stooping- To clean tires and under truck Standing- While cleaning and rinsing truck Handling- Squeeze bottle, rag, hose, and trigger gun Climbing- Steps into the cab Measurements: Trigger gun- approx. 65 inches long Steps in front of trucks- vary from 17 to 24 inches Steps in back of trucks- vary from 29 to 28 inches Skill or Specialization Required: A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Must be able to speak and write English. On the job training is provided. Commercial Drivers License required per state regulations. Number of People Available to Perform the job: The number of people available to perform this job would vary in relation to the overall size of the shop. In small shops, there may only be one or two workers trained for this position. Each worker works an eight hour shift. Psychological Considerations: Workers work independently. Work is routine. Physiological Considerations: 1. Workers are exposed to chemical odors such as gas, oil, and cleaning solvents which could effect respiratory function. 2. Workers are expected to be on their feet throughout the eight hour shift.
