Quik Stop Markets <br />Project No. 349132-41 <br />ll 118181i <br />August 14, 1990 <br />Page 1 <br />This revised Project Safety Plan delineates the basic safety requirements for the <br />emergency response, soil excavation, and geological investigation for the facility located <br />at 3555 W Hammer Lane, Stockton, County of Sacramento, California. <br />The site is a service station and convience store facility. The underground storage tanks <br />on the premises contained , gasoline, and diesel fuel. Exceltech Inc.'s work will include <br />excavation of contaminated soil, possible remediation of the soil, backfilling the <br />excavation, and geological investigation. <br />To provide for site security, the site will be blocked off for the duration of the project <br />This will be accomplished through the use of a 3 -foot high baracde (on the Hammer and <br />Mariners Street sides). Signs which read "Construction Zone --Authorized Personnel <br />Only" will be attached to the baracades. In addition, barricades with reflective tape and <br />battery-operated flashers will be used around the inside. <br />The provisions set forth in this plan will apply to the employees of Exceltech, Inc. and <br />its subcontractors working on the project. The subcontractors may elect to modify <br />these provisions, but only to upgrade or increase the safety requirements, and only with <br />the concurrence of Exceltech, Inc.as designated and accepted in writing. <br />This Project Safety Plan addresses the expected potential hazards that may be <br />encountered during this project. Field activities will begin on July 31, 1990 and are <br />expected to continue for approximately 3 weeks from the start date. If changes in site <br />or working conditions occur as the activities progress, amendments to this plan will be <br />provided by Exceltech, Inc. <br />Personnel responsible for the project safety are: Eric Kieselbach, Corporate Safety <br />Officer; Jim Jordan, Fremont Office Safety Coordinator; Randy Stone, Project <br />Manager; Tom Hicks, Project Supervisor; Tom Hicks, Project Foreman; and John <br />Monroe, Project Geologist. <br />
