Hammer Lane
Stockton,Ca. 95209
MONITORING SYSTEM AND RESPONSE PLAN
415/657-8500
The secondary containment system of the underground fuel storage facility
will be continuously monitored by a Universal Sensors "Leak Alert" LA -04
monitor. The system uses 3 liquid probes that are placed in the annular
space of each tank. These probes will be tested semi-annually by a
qualified service technician to make sure they are functioning properly.
The Leak Alert system has a main monitoring panel that gives both a visual
and audio alarm if one of the probes comes in contact with any liquid.
In addition to the Leak Alert electronic monitoring system, the store
manager is required to perform daily inventory reconciliation by comparing
tank stick readings to metered dispenser readings and recording in the
Quik Stop Daily Gasoline Log.
In the case of an alarm condition, the store manager will immediately con-
tact the Quik Stop Gasoline Department to report the condition. Quik Stop
Gasoline Department will dispatch a qualified serviceman to the site to
determine the cause of the alarm and he will notify Quik Stop if cleanup
is required. Response will be in accordance with the California Adminis-
trative Code, Chapter 23, Subchapter 16, Article 3. Response to an un-
authorized release will be handled in the same manner.
Persons allowed to authorize any required work are:
Jack Griffith, Gasoline Director
7:00 AM - 5:00 PM — Monday - Friday
415-657-8500
(After hours, weekends, Holidays)
415-656-2143
Roy Plattel, District Manager
7:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Monday - Friday
916-483-0214
(After hours, weekends, Holidays)
916-364-8350
