0 <br />0 <br />016.0 EVACUATION GUIDELINES AND PERSONNEL ACCOUNTABILITY: <br />Evacuation of employees and visitors from an emergency within a department and/or building is of <br />the utmost importance. Emergency situations may require the evacuation of all or part of building. <br />In order to achieve a safe and timely evacuation, it is critical that an early warning of the emergency <br />situation be communicated to all personnel and action taken to remove personnel from the <br />hazardous area. <br />6.1 ALERTING PERSONNEL: <br />Sounding of an alarm over the PA system, flashing strobe lights. <br />Announcement over the public address (PA) system <br />Evacuation alarm is the same for all emergencies. <br />6.2 ORDERING AN EVACUATION: <br />is 1. Pull a manual pull fire alarm to activate the alarm system <br />2. Go to the nearest plant phone: Dial 85 <br />3. Make the following announcement clearly over the PA system: <br />Attention I All Employees _ (state specific building area) Evacuate I <br />4. In the event of a power failure the PA system will not be operational. Use the <br />megaphone (found in the Cup Supervisor's Office). <br />6.3 EXIT ROUTES: <br />All personnel shall be familiar with their responsibilities during an evacuation and <br />shall be familiar with all evacuation routes out of the building. <br />2. The buildings' layout allows for multiple choices of evacuation routes. <br />Evacuation maps are posted at various locations in each building. <br />3. In the event of an evacuation, all occupants of the building shall evacuate quickly and <br />safely by means of the nearest available marked exit. <br />0 <br />
