The revision adequately addresses PHS/EHD
comments in correspondence dated June 14, 1995. Please proceed with obtaining three
bids and pre-approval from George Lockwood of the State Water Resources Control Board.
Once the consultant has been selected, please submit a permit application, $89 permit fee,
and a health and safety plan. After a drilling permit has been issued, PHS/EHD must be
notified 48 hours in advance of initiating the proposed field work.
Regarding the financial resources, PHS/EHD understands that the State Water Resources
Underground Storage Tank Clean-up Fund usually reimburses in $10,000 increments, and
that you do not have the ability to advance funds of this amount. Therefore, PHS/EHD
supports your petition to the State Water Resources Control Board to allow smaller payment
for reimbursement associated with the investigation and remediation of contamination.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact Mary Meays at (209)
468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Uy
Mary Meays, Senior REHS Diane M.
