PERMiT/sER�fICES 1 <br /> Subject: Technical Work Plan <br /> Groundwater Monitoring and Water Supply Well Destruction <br /> 26500 Nowell Road <br /> Thornton, California <br /> i <br /> Dear Ms, Duncan: <br /> ENSR is submitting this technical work plan, on behalf of Pamela Lopez, for destruction of three .i <br /> groundwater monitoring and one water supply well at the subject property, located at 26500 <br /> Nowell Road in Thornton, California (Figures 1 & 2). The San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Division (EHD) identifies this site by code No. 1930. The site was granted closure in a <br /> letter dated March 16, 2000 from the EHD. <br /> I <br /> Scope of Work <br /> The following scope of work is proposed for destruction of the three monitoring wells and the j <br /> water supply well (four wells total) at the site. The following sections include a detailed <br /> description of the scope of work.. <br /> I <br /> Permitting/Health and Safety Plan <br /> ENSR will obtain the necessary permits for well destruction from the EHD. Prior to initiating <br /> fieldwork, ENSR will prepare a site-specific Health & Safety Plan (HASP). This plan will contain ' <br /> a site description, a brief history and project description, a discussion of suspect chemical <br /> constituents of concern, and health and safety guidelines covering both chemical and physical <br /> hazards associated with the proposed fieldwork .portion of the project. The plan will also include <br /> information on emergency contacts and a mala depicting the route tp the nearest hospital. <br />' I <br /> Well Destruction <br /> ENSR proposes to oversee the destruction of groundwater monitoring wells MW-1 through MW- <br /> 3 and the water supply well. The well destruction will include the following activities: <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Wells <br /> • Each monitoring well will be sounded to check for obstructions; <br /> Recycled Piper/Soy-based Inks <br />!
