ENS
Well No 194932 is a domestic water well located approximately 2,000 feet west of the
' subject property This well was completed in April 5, 1987 to a depth of 115 feet bgs The
casing is 8-inch diameter and is screened from 90 feet to 115 feet bgs The subsurface
lithology consists of alternating layers of clay and sand to 115 feet bgs
' 61 Lopez Water Well Sampling
' On January 28, 1998, water samples were collected from the domestic water well (used for
irrigation only), located at the subject property Water samples were collected from a faucet
located at the well head, after allowing the water to run for approximately 10 minutes to ensure
' samples represent actual water supply conditions The collected water samples were analyzed for
the presence of TPH-g, BTEX and MTBE by EPA methods 8020 modified and DHS Luft The
laboratory results did not detect the presence of TPH-g, BTEX or MTBE at or above the reporting
limit A copy of the Laboratory report and chain of custody documentation is presented in
' Appendix D
70 REQUEST FOR NO FURTHER ACTION (NFA)
' ENSR, on behalf of Ms Pamela Lopez, is requesting designation of the subject property as a
"low risk" groundwater site, requiring No Further Action The "low risk" designation is based on
the supporting data presented in this report Supporting data includes source removal,
adequate site characterization, plume stabilization, mass balance calculations, and water supply
wells search
The reduction in mass, mobility, and concentration of residual petroleum hydrocarbons in soil
will continue at this site as a result of natural attenuation Natural attenuation is the
' biodegradation, dispersion, dilution, sorption, volatilization, and/or chemical and biochemical
stabilization of contaminants to effectively reduce contaminant toxicity, mobility, or volume levels
that are protective of human health and the ecosystem (U S EPA Office of Research and
Development and Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response)
80 LIMITATIONS
I ENSR has performed its services in a manner consistent with the standards of care and skill
ordinarily exercised by members of the profession practicing under similar conditions in the
geographic vicinity and at the time the services were performed No warranty or guarantee is
iexpressed or implied
i
i
I
I
IL IENSR18716100218716002 c1s2 appb doe 4 ^`- 11/13/98
