The samples will be collected
w
with a clean bailer and will be transferred in appropriate laboratory
supplied bottles. Samples will be labeled, logged on chain of custody forms {
and placed in an ice chest for transport to a State Certified laboratory for
analysis. If floating product is observed,`- only the depth to groundwater and
the thickness of the floating product will be recorded. No
. 9 P i groundwater
sample will be collected as it can be assumed that where floating product is
piresent the dissolved constituents have reached equilibrium values.
ji
!.
Task 2.6 S1jrveyinq
For
the presentation of the data and -the accurate determination of the
groundwater flow direction, it is important to locate the monitoring wells ;
aind determine the surface elevations of the well casings. Exceltech
proposes to survey the monitoring wells.; and draft plot plaits. The survey }
will be conducted using modern surveying equipment and methods so that
adequate accuracy can be maintained and the plots will be of sufficient scale
to portray the data in a useful manner.
f I
ti
Trask 2.7 Laboratory Analysis r
I s
The laboratory analysis of the collected samples will be conducted following
Rregional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines.
E3 i
Up to nine soil samples will be analyzed for presence of Total Volatile i
Hydrocarbons (TVH) and Benzene, Toluene,`fand Xylene (BTX).
I
5
Three groundwater samples will be tested for Total Volatile. Hydrocarbons F
(TVH) and Benzene, Toluene and Xylene (BTX).
i
I I
L 4
