{
4
Tri-Valley Growers November 9, 1987
Project No. 1582G Page 6- 2
from BDL at MW-3 and the AGRA well to 30 ppb at MW-1. The lead
concentrations are low and in our opinion may constitute normal background
levels. It should be noted that delays were experienced during the chemical
analytical phase of the investigation. Verbal updates were relayed to the i
SJLHD and Tri-Valley as they became available.
i
Groundwater flow direction is currently toward the northeast at a relatively
flat gradient. It is possible that the plume of contamination originally
detected in the excavation areas of tanks 2, 3, 4 and 5 has migrated to the
3
northeast where monitoring wells do not exist. However, it is our
- understanding that a private well exists to the northeast and sampling of the
well may be in order. In addition, it is possible that the plume may continue
to migrate to the northeast toward the Mokelumne River and that additional
wells should be placed in this direction to monitor the situation.
.
