Small amounts of total lead were <br /> detected. In our opinion and judgement, these amounts appear to be <br /> regionally typical levels. <br /> i <br /> It appears that the original tank excavation may have removed a large amount <br /> -- of the contamination. However, groundwater flow direction is toward the <br /> northeast and it is possible the original contamination plume has moved <br /> off-site in that direction. <br /> It is recommended that: <br /> • A monitoring program be implemented and that each well be sampled on a <br /> quarterly basis for TVH, BTX, diesel and total lead. Z <br /> S 3 <br /> • A monitoring well be installed in the northaast corner of the property <br /> down gradient of the former tank locations. This well would be used to <br /> @.: look for the presence of any migrating hydrocarbons. <br /> The original stockpiled soil should be aerated to remove any remaining <br /> hydrocarbons However, this process must be reviewed and approved by <br /> the SJLHD and regulatory agencies. <br />
