INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Ripon Farm Service (RFS),Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this report for ground water monitoring and sampling activities conducted at <br /> 22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California(the site) <br /> The report documents the installation of three additional morutonng wells, two dual-completed soil <br /> ' vapor extraction/in-situ air-sparging (SVE/IAS)wells and sampling activities performed at the site <br /> on 21 May 1998,and the results of laboratory analysis of the samples The objective of the work was <br /> ' to monitor ground water conditions and concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and <br /> selected fuel additives in ground water at the site The location of the site and its surroundings are <br /> illustrated in Figure 1 -Location Map Structures and monitoring well locations associated with the <br /> site are depicted in Figure 2 - Site Plan <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work, was presented in the <br /> '. Apnl 1996 Quarterly Report prepared by AGE, dated 20 June 1996 <br /> Monitoring and sampling activities were conducted in accordance with both the San Joaquin County <br /> ' Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tank(UST) sites <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 21 MONITORING <br /> WELL INSTALLATION <br /> ' 2 1 1 DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLING <br /> ' On 11 to 13 May 1998, soil borings B 18, B 19, B20, B21 and B22 were drilled and completed as <br /> ground water monitoring wells and remediation wells Boring B 18 and B 19 were established at the <br /> eastern and western edge of the former USTs system in the parking lot These two boring were <br /> completed as dual-completed remediation wells Borings B20,B21 and B22 were established on the <br /> southern portions of the Jimco Truck Stop and were completed as ground water monitoring wells <br /> ' Installation of the wells was performed using a truck-mounted CME 75-HT drill ng equipped with <br /> . continuous flight, 8-inch and 10-inch, hollow-stem augers The drill ng and two-man crew were <br /> supplied by Mitchell Drilling Environmental (MDE) of Sacramento, California <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
