25 September 1995
AGE-NC-95-0137
' 5 2 RECOMMENDATIONS
The dissolved hydrocarbon plume has not been fully delineated This objective could be achieved by
drilling soil borings and installing additional ground water morutonng wells To prevent installing
excessive number of ground morutonng wells, we propose to conduct the investigation by using
"direct push"probing method Between five and six probing locations in the area north of wells MW-
' 2 and MW-3, and the neighboring Jrmco property are recommended to assess the extent of the
dissolved hydrocarbon plume
The proposed probing method will allow soil and ground water samples to be collected from each
probing The data should be used to determine the most strategic placement of additional ground
water monitoring wells north of wells MW-2 and MW-3 Additionally, information obtained during
' the investigation can be used to determine if additional sources of contarmnation are present of the
Junco property
tThe next quarterly monitoring at the site should be scheduled for October 1995
6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were mainly based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic conditions at
' the site have been made from a limited number of available data points (r a monitoring wells), and
subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or
implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
