SOIL AND GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
AGE proposes to advance three soil probe borings using direct push technology in the area of the
fuel dispenser Dl, to assess for petroleum hydrocarbon- and/or MTBE-impacted soil and ground
water beneath the site. Each boring will be advanced to a depth of 20 feet below surface grade
(bsg)or until "first" ground water is encountered; the proposed probe boring locations may be
modified due to field observations. As each boring is advanced, soil samples will be collected at 5-
foot intervals beginning at 5 feet bsg and extending to the total depth of the probe boring.
Iv The proposed probe boring locations are illustrated in Figure 2. Field procedures for advancement
of probe borings and collection of soil and grab ground water samples are presented in Sections 4.1
and 4.2.
16..
Selected soil and grab ground water samples from each probeboring will be submitted for laboratory
analysis.
