Ms. Amy Terrell
above the floor of the excavation On June 11, WWT placed 2 inch diameter PVC tremie pipe in
the hole to near total depth. Detonating cord was run in the hole to total depth with high explosive
booster charges placed every 10 feet from TD to 8 feet below casing collar. A 10.3 sack
sand/cement grout slurry was then pumped into the well through the tremie equipment in one
continuous operation until the well was full. Water displaced to the surface by grouting was
pumped from the excavation to the concrete containment area north of the well. This contahunent
area was formerly occupied by liquid bulk fertilizer storage tanks. Sheets of plywood were placed
over the well excavation in order to contain any grout ejected from the well when the charge was
detonated.
After the charge was detonated, the depth to grout was measured at 29 feet below the casing collar.
More grout was added to the borehole until completely Rill and the grout was allowed to spill over
the casing to form a mushroom cap. On June 12, after the grout had set, native soil was used to
backfill the excavation to grade.
Please contact Ground Zero at your earliest convenience if you have any questions or comments
regarding this report.
Respectfully, SONAL SFO
Grouuid Zero Analysis lc.
o c
a GRECORYP.
STAN.
regory P.
