Vicki McCartney [EH]
From: Vicki McCartney [EH]
Sent: Monday, July 27, 2009 12:56 PM
To: 'Amy Terrell'
Cc: jcooper@gercorp.com; 'Clay Rosson'
Subject: Work Plan for Ripon Farm Services
Good afternoon, Amy.
I reviewed Site Characterization Work Plan Phase //, dated July 7, 2009, for the Ripon Farm Services site and I
noticed that the work plan does not address how the five proposed deep borings, advanced to approximately 195
feet below ground surface (bgs) using Roto-Sonic drilling technology, will be grouted. Also, the work plan
mentions that the ten direct-push borings, advanced to approximately twenty-five feet bgs, will be grouted using a
tremie pipe; however, there is no mention of using a tremie pipe when grouting the other proposed deep borings,
monitoring wells, and one shallow aquifer test well. I would appreciate if you could have these matters clarified
prior to your approval of this work plan. Thank you, Amy.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
600 East Main Street
Stockton, California 95202
Phone: (209)468-9852
Fax: (209)468-3433
Email: vniccartne7ta'sjcehd.com
7/27/2009
