The 7 July 2009 work plan completely replaces the 12
September 2008 work plan and my invalidates my October 08 approval
letter. So,a fresh look:
I'm providing a link to the work plan for your convenience(at end of
this email),and providing my preliminary review of it. A conditional
concurrence letter is winding its way through the institutional process
here, and will eventually end up on your desk. Meanwhile,I've
excerpted sections of that draft letter here,to let you know that I'm
very happy with their proposed plan, and have only minor adjustments to
make.
"California Regional Water Quality Control Board,Central Valley Region
(Central Valley Water Board)staff has received the 7 July 2009 Site
Characterization Work Plan Phase 11(Revised Work Plan),prepared by
Genesis Engineering and Redevelopment. This work plan replaces the Site
Characterization Work Plan Phase II dated 12 September 2008,which
Central Valley Water Board staff conditionally concurred with in a
letter dated 17 October 2008. This revised work plan incorporates the
conditional elements specified in Central Valley Water Board staff's
October concurrence letter, and addresses investigative items
specifically requested in the 28 May and 9 July 2008 letters.
The Revised Work Plan includes the following:
• Seven shallow monitoring wells distributed along the north and
south property boundaries.
• Ten shallow borings sampled for nitrogen about every five feet
to first groundwater, about 25 feet below ground surface(bgs)
• Five deep borings sampled for nitrogen about every 20 feet
extending to the depth of the on-site water supply well, about 195 feet
7/27/2009
