GE <br /> GENESIS ENGINEERING & REDEVELOPMENT <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This Sampling and Analysis Plan ("SAP")covers the work associated with the Site <br /> Characterization Work Plan-Phase II("Work Plan") for the property located at 938 <br /> Frontage Road, Ripon, California("Site"). Genesis Engineering&Redevelopment, LLC <br /> ("GE&R")will implement this SAP in conjunction with the Work Plan and supporting <br /> documents; including the Quality Assurance Project Plan (Appendix B of the Work Plan) <br /> and the Health and Safety Plan (Appendix C of the Work Plan). Data Quality Objectives for <br /> this Project are provided in the Quality Assurance Project Plan ("QAPP"). This SAP <br /> contains a discussion of the field and laboratory activities associated with the Work Plan. <br /> Information on the specific sampling locations, sample matrices, and the number of samples <br /> is provided in the Work Plan. <br /> 2.0 FIELD PROGRAM <br /> 2.1 Field Activities Summary <br /> The soil and groundwater nitrate characterization work associated with implementation of the <br /> Work Plan will be under the direction of a licensed Geologist and include: <br /> 1. Advancing 10 borings at the locations shown on Figure A-1 to the soil/water 'r , <br /> interface with the shallow water bearing unit. Soil samples will be collected 2� <br /> from the borings at approximate depths of 1 foot, 5 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet and 20 <br /> feet below ground surface ("bgs") and in the vadose zone immediately above <br /> the soil/water interface. Soil type will be logged for each boring. <br /> 2. Advancing 7 borings into the shallow water bearing zone and installing shallow <br /> groundwater monitoring wells in the borings. Soil samples will be collected <br /> from the borings at approximate depths of 1 foot, 5 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet,20 feet, T <br /> 25 feet, 30 feet, 35 feet, and 40 feet bgs. Soil type will be logged for each <br /> boring. Groundwater samples will be collected from each monitoring well <br /> following well development. <br /> 3. Advancing 5 borings to a depth of 195 feet bgs. Soil type will be logged for <br /> each boring. Soil samples will be collected at 20 foot depth intervals (20 feet, <br /> 40 feet, 60 feet, 80 feet, 100 feet, 120 feet, 140 feet, 160 feet, 180 feet, and the <br /> bottom of the borehole 195 feet bgs). Grab groundwater samples will be <br /> collected from these borings in the shallow water bearing unit and each lower <br /> water bearing unit to a depth of 175 feet bgs; estimated at 105 to 108 feet and <br /> 153 to 157 feet bgs. <br /> Ripon Farm Services,Inc. l Of 15 <br /> Sampling and Analysis Plan <br /> July 2009 <br />
