�E <br /> GENESIS ENGINEERING & REDEVELOPMENT <br /> This monitoring/pump test well will be available for use as an extraction well should <br /> treatment of the shallow water bearing unit be included as a remediation alternative. <br /> 2.5 Task 5—Isotope Analyses <br /> Groundwater samples will be collected from two existing well pairs (RMW-ISR and RMW- <br /> 1D, RMW-3S and RMW-313) and the shallow aquifer test well that will be installed as part <br /> of this investigation. These samples will be tested for nitrate using EPA Method 300.1 and <br /> ammonium using EPA Method E350.1. In addition the samples will be tested for nitrogen <br /> isotope ratio and tritium. The purpose of these additional analyses is to compare the age of <br /> the shallow groundwater to the deeper groundwater and to assess whether nitrate in shallow <br /> and deep groundwater is from fertilizer or animal waste, to further evaluate a potential <br /> interconnection between the shallow and deep aquifers. <br /> 2.6 Task 6—Data Analysis and Reporting <br /> A report summarizing the results of the work activities associated with the Work Plan will be <br /> prepared. The report will include the tables,maps, figures, and appendices summarizing the <br /> data collected during the field activities and supporting: <br /> 1. A vertical and lateral delineation of nitrate in soil to the top of the deep water bearing <br /> unit; <br /> 2. A lateral delineation of nitrate in shallow groundwater beneath the Site; <br /> 3. A vertical delineation of nitrate in groundwater beneath the Site; <br /> 4. A discussion of groundwater properties in the shallow water bearing unit at the Site; <br /> 5. An interpretation of interconnection between the shallow and deep water bearing <br /> units at the Site; <br /> 6. A schedule and list of tasks to investigate ways to prevent the migration of nitrates <br /> from soil to groundwater at the Site; and <br /> 7.
