' QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT
FIRST QUARTER-January 1998
1 Canepa's Car Wash
248 E Park Street
' Stockton, California
' March 12, 1998
1 INTRODUCTION
Condor Earth Technologies, Inc , (Condor) conducted quarterly groundwater monitoring at the Canepa's Car
I Wash facility located at 248 E Park Street in Stockton, California (Figure 1, Appendix A) on January 22, 1998
The groundwater monitoring was conducted at the request of Mr Remo Canepa, facility owner, in response to
direction from Mr Ronald Rowe of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
' Division (PHS/EHD) The groundwater samples were analyzed at a certified laboratory for total petroleum
hydrocarbons, quantified as gasoline (TPI -G), for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylene (BTEX), and
for gasoline oxygenates/additives as requested by the PHS/EHD
This report includes a description of the field procedures and laboratory analyses conducted during the January,
1998, quarterly monitoring A discussion of the current and historical groundwater data is presented in Section
' 5 0 (Discussion of Results)
' 2 SUMMARY OF RESULTS
The following summary describes the data collected during the January, 1998, quarterly monitoring
' Groundwater__Analysis Laboratory analytical results indicated that TPH-G was detected in the
groundwater samples collected from MW-I at 0 11 mg/L, MW-2 at 16 mg/L, MW-3 at 0 53 mg/L,
MW-5 at 9 0 mg/L, MW-6 at 0 18 mg/L, and MW-7 at 0 21 mg/L BTEX constituents were
detected in the groundwater samples collected from all of the monitor wells sampled, ranging from
0 5 µg/L to 2,000 µg/L Gasoline oxygenates/additives were not detected at or above the laboratory
reported detection limits in any of the groundwater sample collected from the monitor wells with
I the exception of MTBE, at 1 I µg/L, in the sample from MW-6 MW-4 was located behind a gate
that was unexpectedly locked during the monitoring event The well was, therefore, not sampled
The laboratory results are presented in Section 4 2 and Figure 2, Appendix A
 CONDOR
