1 <br /> 1 <br /> • QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> ISECOND QUARTER—APRIL, 2000 <br /> Canepa's Car Wash <br />' 248 East Park Street <br /> Stockton California <br /> September 115, 2000 <br /> I1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Condor Earth Technologies, Inc (Condor) conducted quarterly groundwater monitoring on April 18 and <br />' 19, 2000, at the Canepa's Car Wash facility located at 248 East Park Street in Stockton California (Figure <br /> 1, Appendix A) The groundwater monitoring was conducted at the request of Mr Remo Canepa, facility <br /> owner, in response to direction from Mr Ronald Rowe of the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> I Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) The work conducted during the quarterly <br /> groundwater monitoring was performed in general accordance with approved protocol formerly <br /> established for the site The scope-of-work performed was approved by Mr Ronald Rowe of the <br /> PHS/EHD This ieport includes site background information, a description of the field and laboratory <br /> analyses performed for the April 2000 quarterly monitoring event, discussion of results, and <br /> recommendations <br /> lie 2,0 SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in the downtown business district of Stockton California One 12,000-gallon unleaded <br /> gasoline underground storage tank (UST), one 5,000-gallon leaded gasoline UST, and one 5,000-gallon <br /> diesel fuel UST were removed from the site in 1990 According to WHF Environmental Consultants, Inc <br /> I (WHF), soil samples collected from the UST excavation from approximately 16 feet below the ground <br /> surface (bgs) contained elevated concentrations of gasoline and gasoline constituents Between <br /> September, 1993 and March 1994, WHF installed six soil bot Engs and seven monitor wel is in and around <br /> the site Three of the monitor wells (MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3) were constructed with a screened <br /> interval horn 45 to 65 feet bgs MW-4 through MW-7 were constructed with a screen interval from 40 to <br /> 60 feet bgs <br /> Beginning in April 1997, Condoi implemented a quarterly groundwater monitoring program at the site <br /> Following the luly 1998 quarterly groundwater monitoring event, Mr Rowe of the PHS/EHD ordered the <br /> installation of additional monitor wells The previously installed monitor wells (MW-1 through MW-7) <br /> are scccened below the present groundwater table A work plan dated November 17, 1998, was prepared <br /> by Condor for the installation of four additional monitor wells (MW-8 through MW-1 1) and is currently <br /> pending approval by the PHS/EHD <br /> 3 0 QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING— APRIL,2000 <br /> On Ap>>l 18 and 19, 2000, a Condor representative made field observations and collected groundwater <br /> samples horn the seven monitor wells at the site (see Figure 2, Appendix A, for well locations) The <br /> 0 sampling older was as follows MW-5, MW-4, MW-1, MW-6, MW-3, MW-7, and MW-2 <br /> IL, CONDOR <br />
