Gabriel Gonzalez [EH]
From: Gabriel Gonzalez [EH]
Sent: Friday, December 05, 2014 1:44 PM
To: Tim Cuellar'
Subject: RE:4405 Pacific Ave., Stockton
Hi Tim,
Thank you for the information Tim.To clarify the raw data/field logs request, I am looking for just the remediation
system's first quarter 2014 at this time. I appreciate your efforts in getting this information.
Gabe _
From: Tim Cuellar mailto:tcuellar a v eoenv.com]
Sent: Friday, December 05, 2014 8:59 AM
To: Gabriel Gonzalez [EH]
Subject: RE: 4405 Pacific Ave., Stockton
Hi Gabriel,
Due to noise complaints from the neighboring residence when we first fired up the system,we put the entire
remediation system on a timer to operate during daytime hours. I believe the timer was last set to operate between 7
AM and 6 PM (11 hrs/day). For various reasons or alarms(i.e. clogged bag filter, power outages, rain in secondary
containment),the system has automatic shut-down controls. Being that we visit the site once or twice a week,
sometimes we may go several days before addressing the alarm and restarting the system. This is why we the hour
meter will not always match up with how many days/hours in a certain operation period. I use the hour meter when
making assumptions/calculations.
The 139 hours is a typo and represe s the Jan. to Feb. 14 operational period;the Dec 13 to Feb. 14 operational period
should have been 492.9 hours(Appe idix E).
The temperature control does not m 3x out at 650 degrees. You can go much higher, but according to Manf.spec's,
anything over 1,000 degrees runs th risk of damaging catalytic cell.Typically, the higher the temperature setting, the
greater the cost to operate the system (PG&E).
PG&E cost was about 3-4K a month t'o operate the system.A large portion of that cost is due running the burner on the
SVE system. Because we are under 2 lbs/day emissions to the atmosphere,we are exempt with the air pollution control
district from treatment controls, and we eliminated the burner on or around Jan.8th 2014.
Sorting through our project folder/historical notes will take some time. I will send the dates to our admin and have them
pull the field work dates. Once they have assembled, I will forward to you.
Thanks-Tim
From: Gabriel Gonzalez [EH] [mailto:caaoonzalezColsjcehd.com]
Sent: Thursday, December 04, 2014 2:38 PM
To: Tim Cuellar
Subject: 4405 Pacific Ave., Stockton
1
