Limited Environmental Investigation July 16, 1990
ARCO Service Station No. 6100, Tracy, California AGS 30041-1
In the 10 foot sample from boring B-2, (5-10-82), BTEX concentrations were detected at
5.5,43, 13, and 76 ppm, respectively. Lower BTEX concentrations were detected in the 20
foot sample (5-20-82); 0.44, 5.7,3.71, and 23 ppm, respectively. In the 30, 35 and 40 foot
samples(5-30-132,5-35-132,and 5-40-132),hydrocarbons were below detection levels. BTEX
i
G concentrations were detected below 1.0 ppm in boring B-3 in samples collected at 10, 15,
20, and 25 feet.
Soil samples with.the highest PID readings near the present leaded gasoline tanks(S-30.131
and 5.10-133)'were submitted to the laboratory for analysis of organic lead. Organic lead
was not detected in either sample.
Results of laboratory analyses of soil samples collected from borings B-4 and B-5 in the area f
of the proposed tank cavity from 25 and 30 feet, indicated TPHg concentrations below
detection levels and BTEX concentrations below 1.0 ppm. Hydrocarbons were detected in
r
the samples collected at 15 and 20 feet from the two borings. In the 15 and 20 foot samples
from boring B-4 (S-15-134 and 5-20-134), TPHg concentrations were 1$0 and 810 ppm,
{
respectively, and benzene was less than 1.0 ppm. Toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene
s
isomers ranged from 1.6 to 11 ppm, 1.45 to 12 ppm, and 6.2 to 76 ppm, respectively. In the
15 and 20 foot samples from boring B-5 (S-15-135 and 5-20-85).TPHg concentrations were
A
,apo/ied APOSyWOMS
