• WORK PERFORMED THIS QUARTER(Second 2005) <br /> 1 Stratus monitored all vapor extraction and monitoring wells for the presence of water and free <br /> product on June 21, 2005 On June 21, 2005 groundwater samples were collected from wells <br /> MW-2, MW-8, MW-10, MW-12, MW-13, VW-2 through VW-5, and the domestic well Wells MWA, <br /> MW-15, and VW-1 had free product and were not sampled Well VW-6 had a vehicle parked over <br /> it, therefore this well was not monitored or sampled Two gallons of product/water mixture were <br /> manually bailed from wells MWA and MW-15, and three gallons of product/water mixture were <br /> manually bailed from well VW-1 The other vapor and monitoring wells were either dry or could not <br /> be sampled due to poor well recovery <br /> 2 Stratus coordinated and conducted the start-up of a Solleco 500 cfm thermal oxidizer in the <br /> presence of San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) personnel <br /> 3 Stratus conducted eleven site visits to complete the installation of the SVE system, to conduct <br /> start-up operations, to conduct routine operation and maintenance, and to collect the required <br /> discharge compliance air samples from the SVE system Free product, if measured, was also <br /> manually bailed during these site visits <br /> 4 Stratus compiled and evaluated the monitoring and sampling data <br /> 5 Stratus prepared and submitted a Source Test Report(dated July 14, 2005), documenting the SVE <br /> system start-up <br /> WORK PROPOSED FOR NEXT QUARTER(Third 2005) <br /> • 1 Stratus will continue to monitor for free product periodically, and if present, bail floating product from <br /> wells MWA, MW-15, VW-1, and VW-4 <br /> 2 The next sampling event is tentatively scheduled for September 2005 Groundwater samples will be <br /> analyzed for gasoline range organics (GRO), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, total xylenes (BTEX), <br /> tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl <br /> tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), <br /> 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB), and ethanol using USEPA Method 8260B <br /> 3 Stratus will conduct bi-monthly site visits to monitor system performance, maintain equipment, and <br /> to collect compliance samples from the SVE system <br /> Current Phase of Project Monitoring 1 Remediation <br /> Frequency of Groundwater Sampling All Monitoring Wells=Quarterly <br /> Frequency of Groundwater Monitoring Quarterly <br /> Sampling Date June 21, 2005 <br /> Is Free Product(FP) Present on Site Yes(wells MW-1, MW-15, and VW-1) <br /> FP Recovered This Quarter 23 gallons <br /> Cumulative FP Recovered to Date 241 gallons <br /> Depth to Groundwater(Upper) 32 42 to 65 17 feet below ground surface (bgs) <br /> .
