Jul , 5 . 2001 2 : 14PM CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES No - 555D P 2/ 3
P .
I of 1
Jeff Willett
From: 'Bill Cook" < bcook@condorslockton.com>
To: "Don Kresse" {dkresse c@condorearth.com
Cc : "Jeff Willett" <jwillett@condorearth.00m>; "David K Wood" aDwood@condorstockton.com=
Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2001 3A47 AM
Subject: Ganepa's $VE
As of July 3, 2001 , we have received one estimate of $3000. 00 for replacement of the blower motor. Two
electricians have visited the site and both said that the motor was installed originally with wire that was of
incorrect size and is of inadequate horsepower. Something needs to be done before the SVE can be brought
online again.
I have called 12 companies , and spoken with 6 of them, but only three showed any interest. I can probably
make the needed repairs myself but that would consume the budget, and extensive electrical repairs and
modifications should really be done by a professional. Speaking of professionals, I have obtained the name of
one person here in Stockton that knows how to work on boilers which have similar controls and equipment to
our SVE. He probably bills out for $80100/ hour. We may want his advice after the SVE is running or
periodically.
The low cost, quick solution would be to have me go out and install heavier gage wire, new capacitors, and
leave the old motor in place. This solution would again bum our budgeted time and have 50150 odds of
success but only cost $400-600.
We need to decide on a course of action and begin in the next 2-3 days.
715101
