Weber Avenue, Third Floor
Stockton, California 95202
Re: Canepa's Car Wash, 6230 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, CA
Site Code: 1225, Condor Project No. 1707
Dear Mr. Wong:
In response to your letter of May 4, 2001 , (and the time extensions granted in your letter of May
18, 2001) Condor Earth Technologies (Condor) is submitting the enclosed drawings showing
proposed boring locations and monitoring well construction details.
With regard to our original workplan for additional shallow wells, we have moved one well
location from just west of MW-4 to near the northwest corner of the property. This location will
better define the plume extent in the northwest direction. As noted'in the construction detail
drawing, we are proposing to screen the three shallow monitoring wells from approximately 25
feet to 45 feet below grade.
We have placed one cone penetrometer (CPT)/deep well location as close as we could to the
center of the plume (adjacent to the center canopy). The other two locations generally define the
northwest and northeast edges of the plume. We cannot provide construction details of these
wells as we will use the CPT data to design the screened interval of these wells.
Pending your review and approval of this information, and pre-approval of the costs to conduct
the work by the UST fund, we will schedule activities to begin by July 25, as directed in your
May 18th letter. Thank you for your attention to this project.
Respectfully Submitted,
CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES, INC.
J W' P.E.
roject Manager
Enclosures: Figures 1 and 2
cc: Mr. Remo Canepa, Canepa' s Car Wash
\\Pdc\projects\1707 Canepa-Pacific\Correspondence\6-01-0I J-Wong.doc
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOLOGICAL 6 ENGINEERING GEOTECHNICAL
http://www.condorearth.com
