Box 388 Stockton, CA 95201 -0388 RE: Canepa's Car wash, Pacific Avenue, Stockton, Caiifornia Dear Sammy, With regards to the 300+ cubic yards of contaminated soils stockpiled at the site, our client has requested AW to find alternate methods of handling the soil other than disposal at Forward Landfill. The cost is excessive and can be treated on a much more cost effective basis. Mr. Remo Canepa has been in contact with Dave Rajkovick, a friend and local farmer at 5220 North Ashley Road in Stockton. Mr. Rajkovick has property that can be used for the purpose of soils aeration. The area is open and away from the general population, schools, hospitals, etc. The proposal is that soils be transported from the Pacific Avenue site to the Ashley Road site by HKM Inc. The material will be stockpiled, sampled and covered. Once the sample data has been completed a decision can be made on air pollution requirements, if any, and the proper permits or actions that can be taken with the Central Valley Air Pollution Cntrnl lona to n1low fnr nn-^.ontro!led aeration of th; s materiel . Unna romnl?tion of these remedial activities confirmation sampling will be conducted. A report of findings will be produced and forwarded to your office for review and completion concurrence.
