Status of Site Activity - Currently undergoing preparation for the design of a groundwater <br /> remediation system as well as the soil remediation system. A Corrective Action Plan (CAP) will <br /> be submitted within the next quarter providing details on the following elements of remediation: <br /> a) An assessment of the physical and chemical characteristics of the hazardous substance <br /> or its constituents, including their toxicity, persistence and potential for migration in water, <br /> soil, and air. <br /> b) An assessment of the hydrogeologic characteristics of the site and the surrounding area <br /> where the release has migrated or may migrate. <br /> c) The CAP shall include the proximity and quality of nearby surface water or groundwater, <br /> and the current and potential beneficial uses of these waters, as well as the potential <br /> effects of residual contamination on nearby surface water and/or groundwater. <br /> d) A feasibility study shall evaluate alternatives for remedying or mitigating the actual or <br /> potential adverse effects of the release. Each alternative shall be evaluated for cost- <br /> effectiveness, and the responsible party(ies) shall propose to implement the most cost- <br /> effective corrective action . <br /> B. Projected Revenue Sources <br /> Quarterly monitoring, as required by Section 2652(d), Health and Safety Code, CCR, is continuing in order <br /> that groundwater data be gathered and analyzed for possible remediation consistent with the contaminants <br /> identified. <br /> The Canepa Car Wash Company will maintain full financial responsibility for all phases of the clean-up. <br /> The principal owner of the company has made application to the State Water Resources Control Board's <br /> Cleanup Fund for reimbursement for the costs of cleanup. <br />
