Emergency conditions are considered to exist.if x <br /> - Any member of the project are is involved in an. accident or experiences <br /> any adverse effects of symptoms of exposure while on site. <br /> ' - A condition is discovered that suggcss the existence of a situation more <br /> hazardous than anticipated. <br /> 3.2 Emergency Procedures <br /> In the event of an emergency, the following emergency procedures should be <br /> followed. Personnel on site should use the "buddy" system (pairs). Buddies <br /> should prearrange hand signals or other mean of communication. in emer- <br /> gencies the following hand signals are suggested: <br /> - Hand gripping throat: out of air, can't breathe. <br /> . - Grip partner's wrist or place both hands around waist: lease area <br /> immediately, no debate! <br /> - Hands on top of head: need assistance. <br /> y <br />
