(PACIFIC) for Union Oil <br /> f tions conducted by Pacific Environmental Group, <br /> Company of California (dba Unocal) at the site referenced above (Figure 1).The ; <br /> u oses of this investigation were to further assess the hydrogeologic conditions <br /> PrP <br /> _ <br /> and to"ideritify the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater south <br /> of the site. <br /> The work was performed as described in a PACIFIC Work Plan, dated August 6, <br /> 1993 'and included the installation of two groundwater monitoring wells south and <br /> southwest of the site. Soil and groundwater samples were collected for chemical <br /> analysis and groundwater monitoring. This letter includes discussions of site t �? <br />_ description and background, a descriptiorr of the scope of work performed, the <br /> findings of this investigation, and;conclusions and recommendations. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Previous Investigations <br /> The site is located-in Stockton, California. Land use in the vicinity of the site <br /> includes retail stores, an elementary school, and private residences.
